Today was the day the children had been waiting for. All week we had bribed them, and threatened them and dangled this wonderful carrot in front of them. There were several occasions when the behaviour had been borderline and Chris had threatened that there would be no EuroDisney!! But the children had scrapped through and here we were!
A long train trip to the outer suburbs and we emerged from the subterranean train station into the sunshine and the crowds. A short wait in the queue to get in and we were there. Music from various Disney themed movies played and the beautiful castle beconned us from the distance. How could we resist the joy that is Disney!

There followed several visits to various, ubiquitous gift stores for Michael (spot the Darth Vader costume and light saber!) lots of rollercoaster rides for Nick and me and climbing around the Swiss Family Robinson tree house and pirate caves for Chris.
We managed to persuade Michael, who doesn’t like rides very much, to go on a simulated ride called Ratatouille – sort of a combination between a teacup ride and a 3D screen experience – it was really unique and fun. Nick and I also loved the Nemo ride, “Crush”, not only for its Australian theme but for the sheer fun of it. We explored and played for many hours and eventually by 7.30pm we decided that it was time to trudge home, exhausted but very, very happy.
